OmiNspect Electronic Park Brake

Description

The OmiNspect EOBD is designed to allow technicians to release brake callipers to replace pads, discs and wheel bearings on vehicles with electronic handbrakes. It allows brake pad thickness to be entered as well as enabling the technician to read and clear ABS faults.

It is also compatible with the latest CAN protocols, and is an affordable entry tool with great coverage*

The OmiNspect range provides a variety of tools that are easy to use, and have been designed to simply "plug and play." It is a lightweight hand tool that is powered by the vehicle, so no need for batteries or charging. As with all the OmiNspect range, it is easy to operate and provides a cost effective solution for busy workshops that have existing diagnostic tools but need extra diagnostic capacity.

Handset powered through the diagnostic socket, so no need for charging.

Includes a calibration function test function, which removes any air gaps from the brake pads, and checks the EPB pressure.

The Service Brake menu allows three different modes for testing and servicing:

Maintenance Mode: Where the EPBs are in a state where work can be carried out by a technician.

Exit Maintenance Mode: This allows the system to be put back into operational state, i.e. the calipers are put back into position.

Assembly Check: The function that allows the operation of the parking brake system to be checked after any work has been completed.

The "Actuator" menu option allows the technician to carry out the Static Apply test; This tests the status of the actuators that operate the calipers, closing the actuators to the nominal parking brake apply position.

Configuration: Enables the technician to restore the zero value of the incination sensor when a new parking brake module or sensor has been fitted. Also, it allows the clutch engagement point value to be reset.

The OmiNspect complies with ISO/DIS 15031 Part 4 as an EOBD scantool
